WHAT TO VISIT IN THE MALL OF AMERICA
Besides the huge shopping opportunities and the animation and dozens of restaurants with all kinds of exotic or less exotic articles and food, the Mall of America includes several top attractions:
- the A.C.E.S, a top-world set of flight simulators;
- the Dinosaur Walk (over 60 life-size dinosaurs and fossil exhibits, and dinossaur themed computer games);
- The Mall of America Park (the country's largest indoor family theme park, with dozens of rides and lots of animation).
- the four-story LEGO showplace, with many models to look at, buy or play.
- the NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway, with its power engines and indoor stock car racing…
- the Underwater Adventures Aquarium, a huge aquarium with real sharks…

If you intend to make your visit mostly indoors, any time of the year is a good time. Just take into account some special periods (Christmas or Easter, for instance) or the dozens of events (ranging from celebrity appearances to product promotions or fashions shows...) and the differences between weekdays and weekends (and holidays) in terms of crowds. If you want to avoid big crowds then avoid the weekends and holidays.

Avoid weekends and holidays if you want to avoid crowds. The Mall tends to be very crowded in these periods. For low accommodation rates in the region avoid July and August.

HOTELS AND FLIGHTS TO BLOOMINGTON, MALL OF AMERICA
There are dozens of cheap hotels in Bloomington, especially near the airport. Minneapolis and St Paul also offer good opportunities in accommodation.
The Twin Cities International Airport(serving Minneapolis and St Paul...) is in Bloomington, just a couple of miles from the Mall of America.
