Best Time to Visit California

Northern California offers unspoiled and breathtaking views, gigantic mountains, volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers, dense lush forests, amazing lakes and almost deserted beaches, and several national forests and state parks.

Northern California is, in every way, very different from the sunny and southern California destinations. Mendocino and the Humboldt Coasts are extremely beautiful but they are very foggy and windy. And the main parks - the Redwood and the Lassen Volcanic National Parks - allow spectacular volcanic views but are rather inhospitable and virtually deserted in Winter.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL TO THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
